Sujila K
Senior Technical Manager
When I joined blueBriX in 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer, I was eager to grow, contribute, and be part of something meaningful. Ten years later, I look back with gratitude and pride—not just for the career I’ve built, but for the lessons I’ve learned while stepping into and evolving within a leadership role in tech.
At blueBriX, growth isn’t just about moving up a ladder—it’s about expanding your skills, your perspective, and your ability to create real impact.
Starting Out: Building Technical and Personal Foundations
From day one, I was given opportunities to work on diverse, high-impact projects. Every challenge sharpened my technical expertise and broadened my worldview. But the most valuable lessons came from the people around me—leaders who guided with trust, peers who inspired with their commitment, and moments of personal reflection on my own setbacks and growth areas.
I made a conscious decision early on: to embrace feedback, work steadily on my weaknesses, and step outside my comfort zone whenever growth demanded it.
Earning Trust and Leading Teams
As my responsibilities grew, I was entrusted with leading a small team. That shift reinforced one truth about leadership—trust is everything. It’s earned over time through consistency, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
At blueBriX, leadership is not defined by gender—it’s shaped by passion, perseverance, and the willingness to take ownership. I embraced that mindset, guiding my team through challenges, staying grounded in mentorship, and making sure that every voice was heard.
What Leadership Has Taught Me
Here are a few principles I now carry into every project and conversation:
- Communicate with purpose – Leadership starts with listening, aligning, and being transparent.
- Give your best, always – Consistent effort often sets excellence apart from average.
- Turn challenges into opportunities – Every obstacle is a chance to grow, innovate, and lead.
- Step forward – Don’t wait to be asked; proactively identify gaps and drive solutions.
- Pay mentorship forward – I’ve benefited from incredible mentors, and I make it my mission to support and guide others—especially women starting their journeys.
- Be visible, be vocal – Celebrate your contributions. Your visibility can inspire others to see what’s possible.
- Keep evolving – No matter how experienced you are, there’s always room to learn.
Looking Ahead
Today, I enjoy my role more than ever—not just for the technical challenges, but for the human ones. Leading with empathy, mentoring future leaders, and creating impact are what keep me inspired.
To all women in tech—leadership is for you. You don’t need permission to step into it. Build trust, take ownership, and lead with purpose. The next generation of women leaders is watching—and your journey can be their spark.
At blueBriX, we’re building a culture where your voice matters, your growth is championed, and your leadership can make a lasting impact. If you’re ready to write your own story, we’d love to be part of it.
